What We Believe

This Statement of Faith is not exhaustive in content nor thorough in any subject, but it does state forth the basics of Bible-Believing Christianity. We want all to know that we believe the soul-saving, life changing message of God’s Holy Word, and preach and teach it without apology. We believe the Holy Bible, as preserved in the Authorized (King James) Bible.

Inspiration

Of The Bible

We believe the Bible to be verbally inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God; divinely preserved in the King James Version and is the final authority in matters of church doctrine and Godly living.

‘The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord , thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.’ Psalms 12:6-7

‘All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.’ – 2 Timothy 3:16

‘For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.’ – 2 Peter 1:21

‘And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. ‘ – Genesis 1:26

‘And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’ – Matthew 3:16-17

‘For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. ‘ – I John 5:7

What We believe about

The Trinity

We believe in the eternal existence of the triune God, manifest in the person of the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.

what we believe about

The Deity of Christ

We believe in the pre-existent, eternal, immortal and only begotten Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Ghost, Virgin born, sinless, and God incarnate.

‘And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. ‘ – Matthew 2:11

‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. ‘ – John 1:1-14

‘And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.’ – 1 Timothy 3:16

‘And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. ‘ – Ephesians 4:30

‘But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. ‘ – 1 John 2:27

‘ But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. ‘ – Acts 1:8

What We believe about

The Holy Spirit

We believe in His divine personality, His indwelling and sealing of the believer, His convicting and drawing of sinners to Christ. And, that He assists the believer in matters of righteousness, sin, prayer, and understanding of the Scripture and empowers us for service.

what we believe about

The Fall of Man

We believe that man chose sin and fell under the condemnation of God and is deserving of both physical and spiritual death in the Lake of Fire. Because of one man’s sin (Adam), man is by nature a lost sinner, depraved and in need of redemption by the regenerating ministry of the Holy Spirit and blood of Jesus Christ.

‘And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. ‘ – Genesis 2:16-17

‘Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: ‘ – Romans 5:12

‘And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. ‘ – Revelation 20:14

‘Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: ‘ – 1 Peter 1:18-19

‘That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. ‘ – Romans 10:9-13

‘For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. ‘ – Ephesians 2:8-9

‘And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. ‘ – Acts 16:31

What We believe about

Salvation of Sinners

We believe that Salvation is a FREE gift offered to man by God through His grace, without the aid of man’s works. It is received by Faith in Jesus Christ as one’s personal Saviour.

what we believe about

The Security of The Believer

We believe that those who accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour receive eternal life and can never perish. They are sealed unto the day of redemption by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

‘ And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. ‘ – John 10:28

‘In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, ‘ – Ephesians 1:13

‘And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar–jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. ‘ – Matthew 16:16-18

‘Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. ‘ – Acts 2:41

‘But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. ‘ – 1 Timothy 3:15

What We believe about

The Doctrine of The Church

We believe the church is a visible, called out assembly of baptized believers, organized and formed for the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe in the autonomy of the Local Church and are against the Ecumenical Movement. A church should practice New Testament principles, believe its doctrines, and observe its ordinances, i.e., Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

what we believe about

The Doctrine of Heaven & Hell

We believe in the eternal blessedness of the saved in Heaven and the eternal punishment of the lost in Hell.

‘But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.’ – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

‘And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.’ – Revelation 20:11-15

‘Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. ‘ – Acts 1:11

‘And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.’ – Revelation 19:11-21

‘And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. ‘ – Revelation 20:4-6

What We believe about

The Second Coming

We believe in the pre-millennial and bodily return of Jesus Christ in the clouds for His saints at the rapture. Then after seven years of tribulation here on earth, He will physically return to establish His Kingdom and to reign with His saints for one thousand years.
